- Prepare the substrate: Ensure the surface is sound, level, clean and free from dust or contaminants.
- Prime the substrate: Apply Dunlop Multi-Purpose Primer to the substrate as required (undiluted for timber, diluted 1:1 for cement:sand screeds).
- Mix the adhesive: Prepare Dunlop CF-03 or CF-24 Flexible Tile Adhesive according to package instructions.
- Apply the adhesive: Spread the adhesive onto the primed substrate using a 4mm notched trowel.
- Install the mat: Roll out the Dunlop ProCover Uncoupling Mat onto the wet adhesive, ensuring any edges are butted up but not overlapped.
- Press firmly: Press the mat into the adhesive using a float to remove any air pockets.
- Allow to set: Wait for the adhesive to set (3 hours for CF-03, 24 hours for CF-24).
- Apply tile adhesive: Spread Dunlop CF-03 or CF-24 adhesive over the mat using a suitable thick bed solid bed trowel.
- Lay tiles: Press tiles firmly into the adhesive, maintaining minimum 3mm joints between tiles.
